The ingredients needed to make Shito stew:
  1. Take chili flakes
  2. Take large sized onion
  3. Make ready ginger(blended)
  4. Prepare Garlic(optional)
  5. Prepare seasoning
  6. Get Small amount
  7. Take iced fish
  8. Get Enough oil for frying

It consists of kpakpo green shito peppers, and it is often used as an accompaniment to fish dishes or kenkey. It is also eaten with steamed white rice, fried plantains, green vegetables, eba and waakye (a dish made from rice and beans). Shito is particularly popular and consumed in Ghana. Steps to make Shito stew:
  1. Using mortar and pestle beat your cloves and ginger together until soft or use your grinder and grind it to smaller particles
  2. Add in your chili flakes and continue beating (the chili flakes should not be too soft)
  3. Add your sliced onion inside and continue beating until it softens, add fried iced fish and beat it but not too far
  4. Until it look like this
  5. Heat oil in a pot
  6. Add the mixture when hot
  7. Add seasoning
  8. Stir fry for 15-20 minutes
  9. Or until it looks brown in colour
  10. And tanaaaaa here it is
  11. I served it with rice and beans and its very delicious and simple
  12. Note: the idea for putting much oil is so that it will not burn when frying and you will be able to keep it for at least 1 week before it get spoiled
