The ingredients needed to make Baked Branzino:
  1. Get 2 branzino filets
  2. Get 1/2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
  3. Prepare 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  4. Make ready 1/4 tsp black pepper
  5. Prepare 1/2 Tbs unsalted butter (divide into 4 small sections-2 per fish)
  6. Get 1/2 fresh lemon
  7. Take canola spray oil

Bake or Roast Branzino with Lemon Garlic and Wine. Branzino is a European Sea Bass fish. It is a very flavorful, soft, and delicate fish to eat, especially when branzino is baked with some lemon slices, sliced garlic cloves, white wine and fresh parsley. Branzino can be baked in herbs and lemon, foil or no foil.

Instructions to make Baked Branzino:
  1. Preheat oven to 365 degrees. - - Lightly spray the copper pot with the canola oil.
  2. Place the branzino filets skin side down in the copper pot. Evenly drizzle the olive oil over both filets followed by the garlic powder & black pepper. - - Place the butter on top of each filet. Squeeze the fresh lemon over the filets. Cut the remainder of the squeezed lemon into pieces and place around the fish in the pan.
  3. Bake covered on the center rack of the oven for 20 minutes. - - Uncover and continuing cooking for 3-5 minutes. Remove from the oven. Use a large spatula to remove the filets from the pan to the plate. - - NOTE: the cover of the pot will be very hot remember to wear your oven mitts

Also, sea-bass can be grilled or fried. My mom makes an amazing pan seared branzino fillet!! Hope to ask her to make it for me next time she visits:). This time I baked branzino with cipolline onions, garlic, lemon, rosemany, bay leaves and salt. Generously grease a large rimmed baking sheet with olive oil.
