  6. Get 1 lg Egg
  7. Make ready 2-3 tbsp milk

  1. Set oven 160Β°fan. Line a 7" baking tin, I use a preformed liner.
  2. Rub butter/marg into the flour and baking powder until fine breadcrumbs. Stir in 3oz of the soft brown sugar..
  3. Peel and chop apples mix them straight into flour mixture to stop them changing colour.
  4. Mix in egg and enough milk to make a dropping consistency. Pour into lined tin and smooth out top.
  5. In a small bowl put 1/2oz soft brown sugar and the cinnamon. Fork it through. Sprinkle on top of mixture in tin. Put in oven.
  6. Bake for about 45 mins. Test with a skewer to ensure completely cooked. Should be firm to touch. Cool.
