The ingredients needed to make Chocolate Chinese Noodle "Spider" Cookies:
  1. Get 1 packages semi-sweet chocolate chips
  2. Prepare 1 packages Butterscotch chips
  3. Get 1 packages Chinese won ton noodles

Melt the chocolate and butterscotch chips together in the microwave or in a double boiler. Mix in the chinese noodles and peanuts. Form (as best you can) into spiders (about a tablespoon) on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. We used to put them out in the back where there was no heat and they'd be set in minutes!

Steps to make Chocolate Chinese Noodle "Spider" Cookies:
  1. Pour both packages of chips in a double boiler (or a metal bowel over a pot of boiling water) and melt them over medium heat.
  2. Add the won ton noodles.
  3. Gently toss the noodles until coated with the chocolate mixture while trying not to break them too much.
  4. You're going to need tongs for the next part… spoons don't work very well.
  5. Using the tongs make small piles of the noodle mix on waxed paper and decorate if desired. Let cool until the chocolate sets.
  6. Once they're set you're done! We always made them this way, but in England I saw similar ones made with corn flakes.

You could easily use this as a base and other things as well. Melt the butterscotch and chocolate chips in the microwave or in a double boiler (If you don't have a double boiler you can make one by nestling a metal or heatproof glass bowl over a pot with a bit of water in the bottom - bring the water to a boil, and stir the chips frequently until they melt). Melt chocolate in a large heavy pot over LOW heat, stir frequently until chocolate melts. Remove from heat and gently stir in nuts and noodles. Drop mixture onto cookie sheets to look like little icebergs!
